Portland's last win against Everett came over a year ago. October 5th, 2007 was the last time Everett fell to Portland as the 'Tips took a 3-0 loss on that date.

This brings the 'Tips record to 12-8-3-0 with 27 points in 23 games played standing three points behind second place Tri-City Americans in the U.S. Division. The Silvertips are now 6-2-2-0 in their last 10 games. The Silvertips come back to the Comcast Arena on Friday night November 21st for a 7:35 game against the Portland Winter Hawks.

Everett got on the scoreboard first tonight after Zack Dailey drew a hooking call on Portland's Brad Ross. The Silvertips put home their first goal of the night on the power play, as Kyle Beach walked from the boards into the slot feeding Harper on the goal line who then hit Chris de la Lande for the backdoor goal at 5:37 of the first period. Everett got right back on the scoreboard as Taylor Ellington made a great pass hitting Tyler Maxwell backdoor for the tip-in goal making the score 2-0 at the 12:52 mark. Everett wasn't done yet, as Dylan McDermott scored his first goal of the season beating Portland goaltender Kurtis Mucha top shelf blocker side after a great pass from Tochkin at 17:23. Simpson made eight saves in the first period to help Everett take a 3-0 lead after 20 minutes.

Everett caught a break at the beginning of the second period when a whistle was blown on a loose puck in the Silvertips crease as the Winter Hawks were about to score their first goal. The goal was waived off after the referee lost sight of the puck. The 'Tips struck again on the power play as de la Lande made a great flutter pass through the crease to Harper who slammed home his eighth of the year on the backdoor at 11:37 of the second. Everett kept the train rolling scoring their third power play goal of the night when Beach, who was sitting all alone in front, snuck the puck between Mucha's glove and pad increasing the score to 5-0. Mucha was relieved at 13:58 and replaced by Keith Hamilton. Everett led in shots after 40 minutes of play 25 to 18.

Portland jumped out quick in the third scoring just 43 seconds into the period. Luke Walker beat Simpson rushing into the zone on a hard wrist shot from the right faceoff dot bringing the score to 5-1. Everett refused to sit back after Portland's goal. Tochkin notched his 18th assist on the season after a wonderful pass from behind the net to Markus McCrea who scored his second goal of the season giving Everett the 6-1 lead. Everett tallied their seventh goal of the night when Jordan Mistelbacher scored his second goal of the season after the puck was thrown on net in front of a huge scrum beating Hamilton and leading Everett to a 7-1 victory.
