
Blazers Rally to Double Cougars

The Blazers scored four goals in a 10-minute span in the second period to rally from a 2-0 first-period deficit and beat the Prince George Cougars 4-2 on Wednesday night at ISC. Parker Stanfield and Justin Maylan staked the visitors to a 2-0 lead 9:12 into the game before the Blazers started the comeback. Nick Ross, Cole Grbavac, Jordan Rowley on the powerplay, and Dalibor Bortnak gave the Blazers their largest offensive output in a single period this season and a 4-2 lead. There was no scoring in the third period. Of note, Dana Tyrell missed on a second period penalty shot with the Cougars holding a 2-1 lead at the time. Final shots were 30-23 Blazers with Justin Leclerc picking up the win and Kevin Armstrong taking the loss. The Blazers were 1-for-6 on the PP and 3-for-5 on the PK.
