ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades finished off this past week's action with a 2-1-0 record in three games vs. the Toledo Walleye. Overall, the Everblades enter this week's action with a record of 9-8-0 (18 pts., 3rd South Division.)
THIS WEEK (All Times Eastern)
Tuesday & Wednesday vs. Trenton Devils Both Games: 7:30 p.m.
GAME NOTES: The Everblades wrap up their five-game home stand this week with a pair of games against the Trenton Devils. The games are the first two of four total between the teams this year and the only two at Germain Arena between the clubs. Last season the Everblades were 3-2-0 vs. Trenton including going 1-2-0 at home. All-Time the Everblades are 3-3-1 vs. Trenton and are 1-2-0 all-time at home. Entering this week's action Trenton is 5-6-1 (11 pts., 4th, North Division) and are 2-3-0 on the road this season.

Wednesday, November 17 vs. Toledo Walleye 4-2 Win
The Everblades snapped their three-game losing skid on Wednesday night at Germain Arena with a 4-2 victory over Toledo. The Everblades jumped out to a quick start, scoring twice in the first period, including 57 seconds into the game on a power play goal by Alex Imbeault. Forward Mitch Fadden chipped in two goals and Matt Pistilli notched the other goal for Florida. In goal bobby Goepfert picked up the win stopping 35 shots. Florida Special Teams: PP: 1-of-4; PK: 5-of-5.
Friday, November 19 vs. Toledo Walleye 8-1 Win
The Everblades picked up goals from seven different players and set a season high in penalty minutes in a fight-filled contest. Offensively the Everblades blew open the game with four second period goals including a short-handed marker. Ross Carlson chipped in two goals while Mike McKenzie, Matt Pistilli, Alex Hutchings, Francis Lemieux, Alex Imbeault and Mathieu Roy registered the other goals. Physically, the teams combined for five fights and 122 total PIM. In goal Jaroslav Janus stood tall stopping 40 of 41 shots to pick up the win. Florida Special Teams: PP: 3-of-9; PK: 6-of-6.
Saturday, November 20 vs. Toledo Walleye 3-1 Loss
The Everblades saw their five-game home winning streak come to an end after falling 3-1 to the Walleye on Saturday night. Toledo grabbed hold of the game with three goals in the second period before Matt Pistilli notched Florida's lone goal early in the third period short-handed. In goal for the Everblades Bobby Goepfert suffered the loss allowing three goals on 38 shots. Florida Special Teams: PP: 0-of-2; PK: 4-of-5.

Player of the Week Nominee: This weeks ECHL Player of the Week nominee is F Mitch Fadden who tallied five points (2g, 3a) and was a plus-4 in three games. Fadden, who leads the team in scoring had two goals in Wednesday's 4-2 win then added three assists in Florida's 8-1 victory on Friday night. This week's ECHL Goalie of the Week nominee is Jaroslav Janus who earned a win in his lone start this week allowing one goal on Friday night and stopping 40 of 41 shots vs. Toledo.
Special Teams Breakdown: Entering this week, here's a look at the Everblades power play and penalty killing: On the power play the Everblades rank 3rd in the ECHL at 19.8 % (18-of-91)...at home the Blades are ranked third in the league at 26.2 % (11-of-42)...on the road the Everblades rank 14th at 14.3 % (7-of-49). On the penalty kill the Everblades find themselves second in the ECHL at 88.7 % (71-of-80)...at home the Everblades enter the week ranked third at 90.0 % (36-of-40)...on the road the Blades are currently eighth at 87.8 % (36-of-41).
League Leaders: Following last night's game both Mitch Fadden and Alex Imbeault find themselves at or near the top in the league in a few categories. Fadden currently leads the ECHL in scoring with his 22 points and is tied for the league lead in assists with 14. Imbeault finds himself leading the ECHL in goals scored with 12 and is also leading the league in power play goals with seven.
Isn't That Special?: The Everblades' special teams units have been rolling of late. On the power play the Everblades have notched at least one goal in 10 of their last 14 games (16-of-77, 20.1%). While short-handed the Blades have only allowed three power play goals in their last 12 games killing 57 of 60 chances.
Approaching Milestones: Here's a look at Everblades that are approaching milestones in the careers: D Trevor Hendrikx is five points away from 100 in his professional career...F Alex Imbeault is two games away from playing in his 200th career game...D Mike Egener finds himself 16 games away from playing in his 300th career game...F Ross Carlson needs to play in six more games to reach 200 in his career.
Who's Hot: Everblades F Mitch Fadden has picked up points in 12 of his last 14 games (7g, 14a)...F Alex Imbeault has picked up seven points (4g, 3a) in the last six games...F Matt Pistilli has collected points in six of the last seven games (5g, 6a)...D Elgin Reid has notched a point in six of his last seven games (2g, 7a)...F Francis Lemieux has collected at least on point in four of the last six games (2g, 7a).
Who are the real Road Warriors?: November began a stretch during which the Everblades will find themselves traveling quite a bit. During the month-long stretch of Nov. 5 - Dec. 4 the Everblades will play 10 of their 16 games away from Southwest Florida. The Blades opened the month-long duration with a season-long six-game trek that was completed this past weekend. Following this five-game home-stand that runs through the middle of next week, the Everblades head north for the first time this season for a five game trip that will include stops in Reading, Elmira, Kalamazoo and Cincinnati.
