
Royals' Rallies Continue Hot Streak

With an 8-2-0 record in their last 10 games, the Reading Royals have moved to within four points of first place in the Eastern Conference's Atlantic Division with a record of 9-6-0 for 18 points.
Reading began last week with a come-from-behind 3-2 win at Trenton on Wednesday. After spotting the Devils a 2-0 lead, the Royals stormed back with the final three goals of the game. Matt Caruana got Reading on the board with his 11th goal of the season 8:10 into the second period and Chris Blight tied the score just over a minute later. Ryan Cruthers capped the comeback with the game-winning goal 5:48 into the third period. Matt Dalton stopped 28 Trenton shots to pick up the win in goal.
After dropping a 5-2 decision at home against Trenton on Friday, the Royals ended the week with another comeback victory on Sunday, defeating Elmira 3-2 in overtime. Trailing 2-0 entering the third period, Casey Haines began the rally with a shorthanded goal 9:06 into the final period. Eric Castonguay tied the score and forced overtime just over two minutes later at 11:16. Caruana scored the Royals' second shorthanded goal of the game 1:10 into the extra session to lift Reading to the win. Dalton once again came up big in goal for the Royals stopping 39 Jackals' shots.

Caruana leads the Royals, and is tied for the league lead, with 12 goals in 15 games. The 25 year old enters this week on a 10-game point streak, over which he has tallied 15 points (10g-5a). Dalton, who led the 2010 Kelly Cup Playoffs with 10 wins, is 4-1-0 in his last five appearances with a 2.80 goals-against average and a save percentage of .916.
The Royals continue their six-game home stand with three games at Sovereign Center this week. Reading hosts Cincinnati in a rematch of the 2010 American Conference Finals on Wednesday and Friday before closing out the week against Florida on Saturday.

-The Jackals have the highest point percentage in the league at .733.
- Justin Donati is tied for the league lead with 22 points (8g-14a).

Cincinnati Cyclones
-The Cyclones have earned a point in eight straight games (6-0-2).
-Goaltender Marc Cheverie is tied for second with six wins.
-The Cyclones visit Reading Wednesday and Friday, Elmira on Saturday and Trenton on Sunday.
Kalamazoo Wings
-The K-Wings are 4-0-1 when outshooting their opponent.
- Riley Gill is second with a 1.99 goals-against average.
-Kalamazoo hosts Greenville Thursday and Friday and visits Wheeling on Saturday.
Toledo Walleye
-Toledo is 3-0-0 after leading two periods.
- Peter Leblanc leads rookies in scoring with 15 points (5g-10a).
-Toledo visits Gwinnett on Thursday and Saturday and South Carolina on Sunday.
Wheeling Nailers
- Andrew Lord leads the team with 12 points (5g-7a).
- Ben Street leads rookies with 61 shots.

Florida Everblades
- Florida has scored at least one power-play goal in 10 of its last 14 games.

Greenville Road Warriors

Gwinnett Gladiators

-Victoria is tied for third in the league on the penalty kill at 87.1 percent (101-for-115).
