Royals' Rallies Continue Hot Streak

With an 8-2-0 record in their last 10 games, the Reading Royals have moved to within four points of first place in the Eastern Conference's Atlantic Division with a record of 9-6-0 for 18 points.

Reading began last week with a come-from-behind 3-2 win at Trenton on Wednesday. After spotting the Devils a 2-0 lead, the Royals stormed back with the final three goals of the game. Matt Caruana got Reading on the board with his 11th goal of the season 8:10 into the second period and Chris Blight tied the score just over a minute later. Ryan Cruthers capped the comeback with the game-winning goal 5:48 into the third period. Matt Dalton stopped 28 Trenton shots to pick up the win in goal.

After dropping a 5-2 decision at home against Trenton on Friday, the Royals ended the week with another comeback victory on Sunday, defeating Elmira 3-2 in overtime. Trailing 2-0 entering the third period, Casey Haines began the rally with a shorthanded goal 9:06 into the final period. Eric Castonguay tied the score and forced overtime just over two minutes later at 11:16. Caruana scored the Royals' second shorthanded goal of the game 1:10 into the extra session to lift Reading to the win. Dalton once again came up big in goal for the Royals stopping 39 Jackals' shots.

Caruana leads the Royals, and is tied for the league lead, with 12 goals in 15 games. The 25 year old enters this week on a 10-game point streak, over which he has tallied 15 points (10g-5a). Dalton, who led the 2010 Kelly Cup Playoffs with 10 wins, is 4-1-0 in his last five appearances with a 2.80 goals-against average and a save percentage of .916.

The Royals continue their six-game home stand with three games at Sovereign Center this week. Reading hosts Cincinnati in a rematch of the 2010 American Conference Finals on Wednesday and Friday before closing out the week against Florida on Saturday.

Atlantic Division

Elmira Jackals

-The Jackals have the highest point percentage in the league at .733.

- Justin Donati is tied for the league lead with 22 points (8g-14a).

-The Jackals host Alaska on Wednesday and Friday, Cincinnati on Saturday and Florida on Sunday.

Reading Royals

-Reading is 2-0 in games that go beyond regulation.

- Matt Caruana is on a 10 game point streak (10g-5a).

- The Royals host Cincinnati on Wednesday and Friday and Florida on Saturday.

Trenton Devils

-The Devils have the second most goals per game (3.67).

-Jeff Prough leads the team with six goals.

-The Devils visit Florida Tuesday and Wednesday and host Alaska on Saturday and Cincinnati on Sunday.

North Division

Cincinnati Cyclones

-The Cyclones have earned a point in eight straight games (6-0-2).

-Goaltender Marc Cheverie is tied for second with six wins.

-The Cyclones visit Reading Wednesday and Friday, Elmira on Saturday and Trenton on Sunday.

Kalamazoo Wings

-The K-Wings are 4-0-1 when outshooting their opponent.

- Riley Gill is second with a 1.99 goals-against average.

-Kalamazoo hosts Greenville Thursday and Friday and visits Wheeling on Saturday.

Toledo Walleye

-Toledo is 3-0-0 after leading two periods.

- Peter Leblanc leads rookies in scoring with 15 points (5g-10a).

-Toledo visits Gwinnett on Thursday and Saturday and South Carolina on Sunday.

Wheeling Nailers

- Andrew Lord leads the team with 12 points (5g-7a).

- Ben Street leads rookies with 61 shots.

-The Nailers host Greenville Wednesday and Sunday and Kalamazoo on Saturday.

South Division

Florida Everblades

- Florida has scored at least one power-play goal in 10 of its last 14 games.

-Alex Imbeault leads the league with 12 goals.

- The Everblades host Trenton Tuesday and Wednesday and visit Reading on Saturday and Elmira on Sunday.

Greenville Road Warriors

-Greenville has allowed two power play goals in their last five home games (27-for-29).

-Brendan Connolly leads the team with 17 points (9g-8a).

-Greenville visits Wheeling on Wednesday and Friday and is at Kalamazoo on Thursday.

Gwinnett Gladiators

-Gwinnett is 7-0-0 when leading after two periods.

-Michael Forney scored a goal in all three games last week.

-The Gladiators are home against South Carolina on Tuesday and against Toledo on Thursday and Saturday while playing at South Carolina on Friday.

South Carolina Stingrays

- The Stingrays are 3-0-1 when leading after one period.

- Tommy Goebel leads the team with 13 points (4g-9a).

-The Stingrays visit Gwinnett on Tuesday and host Gwinnett on Friday and Toledo on Sunday.

Mountain Division

Alaska Aces

-The Aces are 6-1-0 on the road.

- Wes Goldie is on a five-game scoring streak (5g-6a).

-The Aces visit Elmira on Wednesday and Friday and Trenton on Saturday.

Idaho Steelheads

-Mark Derlago leads the team with 17 points (8g-9a).

-Marty Flichel leads the team with six power-play goals this season.

-The Steelheads visit Victoria Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Utah Grizzlies

-The Grizzlies are tied for the league lead with six road wins.

-Brad Snetsinger leads the team with 15 points (7g-8a).

-Utah visits Bakersfield Wednesday and Saturday, Stockton on Friday and Ontario on Sunday.

Victoria Salmon Kings

-Victoria is tied for third in the league on the penalty kill at 87.1 percent (101-for-115).

- Milan Gajic leads the team with seven goals.

-The Salmon Kings host Idaho Wednesday, Friday and Saturday

Pacific Division

Bakersfield Condors

- Bakersfield is 6-0-0 when leading after two periods.

- Stephane Goulet leads the team with 15 points (8g-7a).

- The Condors host Utah Wednesday and Saturday.

Las Vegas Wranglers

-The Wranglers are first in the league on the power play on the road at 28.6 percent (4-for-14).

- Ned Lukacevic leads the team with 13 points (6g-7a).

-Las Vegas is at Stockton on Wednesday and at Ontario on Friday and Saturday.

Ontario Reign

-Ontario leads the ECHL in attendance with 6,960 per game.

-Jeff Corey leads the team with 11 points (6g-5a).

-Ontario hosts Las Vegas on Friday and Saturday, and hosts Utah on Sunday

Stockton Thunder

-Stockton leads the Western Conference with a .714 winning percentage (8-2-4)

- Chris D'Alvise is tied for fourth in the league with 10 goals.
