ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Monday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Elmira's Turner Fined, Suspended

Elmira's Brennan Turner has been suspended one game and fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in ECHL Game #142, Elmira at Reading, on Nov. 21.

Turner received a major penalty and game misconduct under Rule #43.5 - Checking from Behind at 18:56 of the first period. Under this Rule, a game misconduct penalty must be assessed anytime a major penalty is applied. In addition, the player shall be suspended automatically for not less than one (1) game.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Turner will miss Elmira's game against Alaska on Nov. 24.

Toledo's Keefe Fined

Toledo's Adam Keefe has been fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in ECHL Game #127, Toledo at Florida, on Nov. 19.

Keefe was assessed a fighting major and game misconduct for continuing an altercation at 1:36 of the third period.

He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Florida's Egener Fined

Florida's Mike Egener has been fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in ECHL Game #127, Toledo at Florida, on Nov. 19.

Egener was assessed a fighting major and game misconduct for continuing an altercation at 1:36 of the third period.

He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
