Everblades activate Brindley from IR

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that defenseman Ryan Brindley has been activated off the 3-day Injured Reserve list and that defenseman Ryan Van Buskirk has been placed on the 3-day IR. As per team policy the injury was not disclosed.
Brindley returns to the lineup after missing the last game because of an injury suffered in Florida's 7-1 victory over the Gwinnett Gladiators on January 27. The 30-year-old team captain has picked up four points (1g, 3a) and 24 penalty minutes in 16 games this season. The native of Thunder Bay, Ontario is playing in his ninth professional season and is in his fourth season with the Everblades. During his career Brindley has tallied 287 points (86g, 201a) and 847 PIM in 471 games.
Van Buskirk heads to the IR after suffering an injury in the Everblades' 3-2 overtime loss to the Pensacola Ice Pilots on Tuesday night. The 27-year-old has 10 points (1g, 9a) and 44 PIM in 15 games this season.
