To highlight the night, local hero Angel Pierce will be our special guest and will conduct the ceremonial puck drop.
Pierce made national headlines this month for assisting Dayton Police Officer Jonathan Seiter when a routine traffic stop went array.
Officer Seiter was struggling with a motorist who tried to grab Seiter's firearm and Taser after being pulled over. Pierce saw the struggle as she was passing by in her car and pulled over to assist Seiter until backup arrived.
Seiter has since called Pierce his "guardian angel."
Pierce has appeared on Good Morning America and WHIO-TV to talk about the events that took place. She has also had countless articles written about her since her heroic act on Sunday, Dec. 12.
