
Campbell to Start for CHL All-Star Team

Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release
The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees along with the Central Hockey League (CHL) are pleased to announce that Killer Bees defenseman Darcy Campbell has been named a starter to the 2011 CHL All-Star team. Campbell received the most votes of any player in the 60 ballots (35 votes).
Campbell has been a leader for the Bees on the blueline all season both offensively and defensively. Campbell has continued to be a potent offensive weapon ranking second on the team with nine goals and 19 assists for 28 points while also being an anchor defensively.
"I am very pleased for Darcy and his accomplishments this season and his teammates are ecstatic to have him represent the Killer Bees." head coach Chris Brooks continued. "Darcy is very deserving of being selected to the All-Star team and we look forward to a great second half of the season."
Campbell leads all defenseman in the CHL in goals, assists and points and currently sports a +6 rating.
The 2011 CHL All-Star game will be held in Rapid City, S.D. at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center on January 11, 2011 and will pit a team composed of players from the Rapid City Rush against an all-star team composed of players from the other 17 CHL franchises.
