Ethan Small, Milwaukee Brewers #1 Pick in 2019, to Make Timber Rattlers Debut on Friday Night

GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Milwaukee Brewers have assigned pitcher Ethan Small to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Small, the #1 pick of the Brewers in the 2019 draft, is scheduled to make his Midwest League debut for the Timber Rattlers as the starting pitcher on Friday, August 2 against the Clinton LumberKings. Game time is 7:05pm.
Small was a member of the Mississippi State baseball team that reached the 2019 College World Series. He was 10-2 with a 1.93 ERA in eighteen starts for the Bulldogs and struck out 176 batters in 107 innings pitched during his final season at Mississippi State.
Small will face the LumberKings this Friday at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium. The tentative plan is for him to start each of the remaining Fridays during the 2019 season. That would cover August 9 at Burlington and three straight home games: August 16 against Cedar Rapids, August 23 against Burlington, and August 30 against Kane County.
