Ethan Hollingsworth Promoted to AAA

SPRINGDALE, AR - The Naturals' parent club, the Kansas City Royals announced a transaction on Wednesday affecting the Northwest Arkansas Naturals' roster. Right-hander Ethan Hollingsworth has been transferred to Triple-A Omaha.

Hollingsworth began the season with the in Triple-A before joining the Naturals in mid-May. The right-hander was 0-6 with a 4.94 ERA in 13 games, six starts, for Northwest Arkansas. His best start of the season came on July 8 when he threw a season long seven and two-thirds innings allowing nine hits and four runs, while striking out a season high nine. Hollingsworth last pitched on July 16 against the Arkansas Travelers.

Hollingsworth was acquired from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for Kila Ka'aihue in September of 2011. He was originally fourth round of the 2008 draft by the Colorado Rockies.
