Edmonton Elks News Release
(Edmonton) - The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announces the release of import linebacker Kye Stewart, non-import full back Peter Thiel and non-import kick returner Steven Turner.
Stewart signed as a free agent on Oct. 2, 2012. He played in five games and had five special teams tackles. He also played in the Eastern Semi-Final and registered two defensive tackles and two special teams tackles.
Thiel signed as a free agent on May 24, 2012. In three games, he had one special teams tackle.
Turner signed as a free agent on Oct. 15, 2012 and spent the season on the Eskimo practice roster.
