Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Eskimos announced today that running back Ronald Williams has been released.

An 8-year CFL veteran, Williams signed as a free agent with Edmonton August 29, 2001 following his release by Hamilton. Last season, Williams posted 68 carries for 254 yards and 5 TDs. He also had 13 receptions for 144 yards and 1 touchdown. Williams did not appear in the CFL West Final or the 2002 Grey Cup. The former Clemson star has also played for BC (1996), Winnipeg (1997) and Hamilton (1998 - 2001).
