Eskimos Host 'Labour Day Tailgate' Viewing Party on Turf

(Edmonton) - When the Edmonton Eskimos head south to take on the Calgary Stampeders in the Labour Day Classic on September 2, the Green and Gold will open the gates to The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium to watch the big game on the big screen at our own Labour Day Tailgate.

Fans are encouraged to come on-field and pick their spot on the the turf and watch the Battle of Alberta like never before.

Admission to the Labour Day Tailgate viewing party is free. All ages welcome. Gates open at 1:30 p.m. Kickoff is 2:30 p.m.

Before the game, fans are invited to participate in the inaugural Finish at the 55 Eskimos Fun Run and Walk.

The event begins at Commonwealth Stadium to a lovely scenic route and finishes on the 55-yard line of The Brick Field. Participants end emerging from the Eskimos inflatable helmet, greeted by members of the Eskimos Cheer Team, presented by Bedrock Homes, Esks Force Hype Team and Drumline, presented by Impact Performing Arts. All ages and abilities welcome.
