Tonight, the SeaWolves look for their fourth straight win as they open a six-game homestand and a three game series against the New Britain Rock Cats (Minnesota Twins) at Jerry Uht Park. The SeaWolves finished off the Akron series with a 5-1 win on Sunday afternoon, taking the series from the Aeros. The win puts the SeaWolves at six-games under .500 heading into play tonight. Erie's pitching staff has allowed just one run over the last three games...The Rock Cats have dropped two straight games and are 5-5 in their last 10 games...Righty Brooks Brown takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 11th start and second against New Britain. He took a loss in his first start of the season at New Britain on 6/10. Brown took a loss in his last start against Richmond on July 27. In the game, he allowed four runs on six hits with no walks and two strikeouts. It was the second straight outing where Brown did not issue a walk. Erie lost the game 4-2...RIghty Bobby Lanigan takes the mound for the Rock Cats making his 21st start and second against the SeaWolves. He beat Erie on June 10 allowing two runs on seven hits with a walk and four strikeouts in six innings. Lanigan was roughed up in his last start against New Hampshire on July 27 allowing 11 runs, six earned, on 14 hits with no walks and a strikeout in 2.2 innings of work. It was his shortest outing of the season...The SeaWolves will take on the Rock Cats for three and end the homestand with a three-game series against Harrisburg.
