Tonight, the Erie SeaWolves will try to win their seventh series of 2019, and first against the Akron RubberDucks. After last nights 2-0 victory, the SeaWolves have won in shutout fashion in three of the past four games. During that stretch, they have not allowed an earned run in 44.0 consecutive innings -- last ER: 2nd inning, May 2nd vs. Bowie. Alex Faedo will look to continue that streak tonight, taking the mound for the second time in his career against the RubberDucks. In his first outing on July 28, 2018, Faedo took the loss after tossing 5.0 innings of two-run ball with nine strikeouts, in a 7-2 Akron win. He will be opposed by Jake Paulson, who made three starts versus the SeaWolves a year ago. The 2018 Eastern League All-Star allowed two earned runs in 17.1 innings, yet was 0-1 against Erie. Paulson was originally a 27th round selection by the Cincinnati Reds in 2014 and joined the Cleveland Indians organization prior to the beginning of the 2018 season.
