Today, the SeaWolves look for the series sweep as they take on the Harrisburg Senators (Washington Nationals) in the final game of a three-game series at Metro Bank Park. Last night, the SeaWolves were backed by another strong pitching performance, shut out the Senators 7-0. It was the eighth shutout of the season by Erie pitchers and the second in the last week...The SeaWolves have won two straight and four of six and are four games under .500. The Senators are still in first place in the Western Division, a game up on wild card leading Bowie and 2.5 games ahead of third place Richmond...Tonight, lefty Jay Voss takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 16th start and second against the Senators. He took a loss against Harrisburg on June 5 allowing five runs on six hits in 3.1 innings with five walks and three strikeouts. Voss earned his eighth win of the season in his last start against Trenton in game one of a doubleheader on August 16. He tossed a complete game shutout allowing three hits with a walk and five strikeouts. Erie won the game 6-0...Righty Shairon Martis takes the mound for the Senators making his 21st start and second against the SeaWolves. Martis beat the 'Wolves on July 6 tossing seven innings allowing a run on four hits with two walks and six strikeouts. He has taken no-decisions in his last four starts. In his last outing against Akron, Martis allowed two runs on four hits with five walks and six strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work. He is 3-0 with a 2.59 ERA in four day game starts.
