----- Tonight, the SeaWolves look to snap a two-game slide as they take on the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets) in the fourth game of a five game series at NYSEG Stadium. Last night, the Mets swept Erie in a doubleheader and dropped the 'Wolves record in doubleheader games to 3-9. Erie enters play today three games under .500 and in a fifth place tie in the Western Division. The 'Wolves are 4.5 games back of second place Harrisburg...Tonight, James Avery takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 18th start of the season and fourth against the Mets. Avery is 2-1 in his previous three starts against Binghamton. Avery took a no-decision in his last start against Akron on July 5. In the game, he allowed four runs on nine hits with a walk and four strikeouts in six innings of work. Erie won the game 8-6...Mets top prospect Zack Wheeler takes the mound for Binghamton making his 16th start and third against the SeaWolves. Wheeler is 2-0 against Erie in two starts. He beat Richmond in his last start on July 5. In the game. Wheeler allowed a run on six hits with no walks and six strikeouts in 7.1 innings of work...After rattling off a season-high seven road wins June 13-27, the SeaWolves have gone on to lose five of their last six away from Jerry Uht Park...The SeaWolves will play one more game in Binghamton before heading home for a brief, three-game series against Bowie beginning on Monday night.
