Today, the SeaWolves look for their second straight series sweep as they take on the Akron RubberDucks (Cleveland Indians) in the final game of a three-game series at Canal Park. Last night, the SeaWolves jumped out to a 4-0 after an inning and a half and went on to beat the Ducks 7-1. Erie has won three consecutive series for the second time this season...The SeaWolves last road sweep was the final series of 2014 when they swept the Ducks in a four-game set... Tonight, righty Austin Kubitza makes his 24th start of the season and fourth against the RubberDucks. Kubitza is 1-2 in his previous three starts against Akron. Kubitza took a no-decision in his last start against New Britain on August 18. In the game, he allowed four runs, two earned, on six hits with three walks and three strikeouts in 5.1 inning of work. Erie trailed into the ninth inning 4-2 and rallied to beat the Rock Cats 5-4... Lefty Shawn Morimando takes the mound for Akron making his 25th start and third against the SeaWolves. Morimando is 1-1 against the 'Wolves. He has taken back-to-back no-decisions after rattling off three straight wins. In his last start against Harrisburg, Morimando allowed three runs, two earned, on nine hits with two walks and five strikeouts in 6.1 innings.
