Tonight, the SeaWolves continue an eight-game road trip as they begin a four-game series against the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) at Canal Park. Last night, the 'Wolves were shut out by Harrisburg as they dropped their fourth straight overall and eight consecutive road game. The loss dropped Erie back to two games under .500 and 9.5 games out of first place. Erie is four games behind wild card leading Richmond. The 'Wolves have not dropped more than four consecutive games this season and have suffered two other four game losing streaks...The SeaWolves send lefty Jay Voss to the mound making his ninth start and second against the Aeros. Voss earned his fourth win in his last start against Akron on July 3. In the game, he allowed two runs on six hits with a walk while tying a career-high with eight strikeouts in seven innings of work. Erie on the game 6-2...RHP Austin Adams takes the mound for the Aeros making his 17th start and second against Erie. Adams took a loss to the SeaWolves on July 3 allowing five runs on eight hits with two walks and a strikeout in two innings of work. Adams has allowed four or more runs in three of his last four starts. In eight home starts, he is 2-4 with a 4.33 ERA...Over Erie's eight game road losing streak, the team has been outscored 58-13. Erie's last road win came June 22 at Reading...The SeaWolves will play a four-game series with Akron before the two-day EL All-Star Break...Francisco Martinez and Jacob Turner will depart on Saturday for the XM Futures All-Star game at Chase Field in Arizona which will be played on Sunday, July 10...OF Deik Scram has been placed on the Erie DL with a left hamstring strain.
