B-Mets Rained out in New Britain

NEW BRITAIN, CT - The Binghamton Mets 7:05 PM game Friday night against the New Britain Rock Cats has been postponed due to rain and unplayable field conditions. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader at New Britain Stadium Saturday tomorrow beginning at 5:00 PM. The two games are slated for seven innings each.

The B-Mets have now been rained out eight times in 2011 and twice in New Britain. The Rock Cats have suffered the most home wash outs in the Eastern League with eight.

LHP Robert Carson (2-7, 4.27) will start for the B-Mets and New Britain will counter with RHP Liam Hendriks (3-2, 3.32) in game one of the twin bill. The starters for game two have yet to be named. The Horizons Federal Credit Union Pre-Game Show begins at 4:50 PM on Newsradio 1290 WNBF.
