Squirrels and Senators Postponed on Friday Night

RICHMOND, VA - Due to heavy rain showers at The Diamond, Friday night's scheduled series-opener between the Richmond Flying Squirrels and the Harrisburg Senators has been postponed. The game will be made up as part of a day/night doubleheader on Saturday, July 23rd. The doubleheader, which will be the first day/night doubleheader in Flying Squirrels' history, will consist of two seven-inning games. Game one will begin at 1:05 PM, while the nightcap will feature a 7:05 PM first pitch.

Fans holding tickets for Friday night's game may redeem them for tickets to any remaining 2011 Flying Squirrels' regular season home game. Tickets must be redeemed at the Flying Squirrels' Ticket Office at The Diamond.

The Squirrels and Senators will play a doubleheader on Saturday consisting of two seven-inning ballgames. Game one will begin with first pitch at 5:35 PM. The Squirrels will throw RHP Henry Sosa (4-1, 2.57) in game one against Harrisburg RHP Erik Davis (5-2, 3.62). The Squirrels have yet to name a starter for game two. RHP Tanner Roark (4-5, 6.20) will make the start in game two for Harrisburg. Pregame coverage will begin at 5:05 PM on both Sports Radio 910 and SportsRadio910.com.
