Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release

In game two of tonight's doubleheader, Eric Young Jr. set another Sky Sox single-season record. Young Jr. led off the bottom of the first with a single up the middle and moved to second on his 55th stolen base of the season, and 300th of his pro career, before coming around to score on a triple by Matt Miller. By crossing the plate for the 107th time this season, Young Jr. set a new record for runs scored in a single season by a member of the Sky Sox. The previous record of 106 runs scored was set by Phil Hiatt in the 2000 season. Young Jr. also holds the Sox' single-season record for stolen bases after surpassing Wayne Kirby who had 51 bags in 1992.
