FIRST AND LONG: For the second straight game, the RedHawks scored all their runs in the first inning in last night's 6-3 loss at Chukchansi Park. A 3-run homer by Chris Davis provided all the offense, in the same manner a 2-run shot by Dustin Majewski was OKC's lone production in the opening inning of Sunday's 2-1 win. OKC has scored all its runs in one inning in 3 straight games, dating to a 4-run second in Saturday's 11-4 loss at Sacramento. The last time the RedHawks scored after the second inning was on Friday, when a 2-run ninth tied the game 3-3 and forced extra innings in an eventual 4-3 defeat in 12.

DAVIS DISPLAYS POP: Chris Davis' home run last night was his fifth as a RedHawk since being optioned July 6, but his first since July 23. Davis, who hit 15 with Texas this year, had gone 13 games without a home run (62 ABs) and snapped a string of 13 games without an RBI.

HOME RUN HAPPENINGS: The RedHawks have hit the fewest home runs in the PCL (60) and allowed the fewest (74). Chris Davis' 3-run shot last night was the RedHawks' sixth 3-run homer of the year, each by a different player. The RedHawks have 4 grand slams, two by Kevin Richardson and one each by Joaquin Arias and Nate Gold. Fresno has 3 home runs from its 13 hits in this series, including a pair of 2-run shots last night by Buster Posey and John Bowker.

ONLY A NUMBER: In the first two games of this series, the losing team has out-hit the winner. Fresno out-hit OKC 8-7 on Sunday and the RedHawks had 10 hits to Fresno's 5 last night. For the season, OKC is 42-5 when out-hitting the opposition, 11-49 when out-hit and 4-4 when the hit total is even.

OUCH: OKC pitching has plunked 6 batters during this trip and has at least one hit batsman in 3 straight. The RedHawks are second in the league with 54 hit batters, 3 fewer than Iowa.

LOADED QUESTION: OKC failed to score with the bases loaded and nobody out last night, the third time that's happened in the past 3 games. On Saturday at Sacramento it happened in the third and sixth innings. Since Kevin Richardson's grand slam on Thursday in Sacramento, OKC has gone 1-for-10 with 4 strikeouts, a double play and a triple play with the bases jammed.OKC is hitless in its last 6 at bats with the bases loaded since a 2-run double by Joaquin Arias on Saturday.

STREAKING: Royce Huffman owns the RedHawks' best current hitting streak (9 games), during which he's 13-for-36 (.361) with 1 homer and 2 RBIs. Huffman has hit safely in 17 of his last 18 games dating to July 23, going 26-for-70 (.371) in that span. He has more doubles (25) than any other RedHawk has extra-base hits. Joaquin Arias has an 8-game hitting streak, going 15-for-34 (.441) with 2 homers and 6 RBIs. Chris Davis has a 7-game hitting streak, including 3 straight 2-hit games, going 10-for-25 (.400) with 1 homer and 3 RBIs.
