DES MOINES, Iowa, March 15, 2009 - Player of the Game, Othyus Jeffers, scored 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Energy defeated the Erie BayHawks 101-89 Sunday afternoon at Wells Fargo Arena.
Courtney Sims (19 points, 14 rebounds), Curtis Stinson (19 points) and Patrick Sanders (12 points) all added double-digits for the Energy (23-15), who continue to the lead the NBA D-League Central Division.
Erik Daniel went 7-for-7 from behind the free throw line, while scoring 22 points and grabbing 20 rebounds. Maureece Rice (17 points), Cliff Clinkscales (14 points) and Quincy Douby (14 points) rounded out the Energy player scoring in double-digits.
The Energy will travel for a two week road trip to the west coast, returning to Wells Fargo Arena Saturday, March 28th at 7 p.m. On Tuesday, the Energy will play at Dakota at 7 p.m. All Energy games can be viewed for free at www.nba.com/dleague on NBA Futurecast.
