
Thunderbirds Fall to 66ers

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., March 15th, 2009 - Despite a Thunderbirds rally, the Tulsa 66ers were able to escape with their ninth victory of the season Sunday afternoon at Tingley Coliseum.
Will Conroy, who co-led the T-birds with 30 points, also leads the NBA D-League in scoring with 25.8 points per game. Contributing to Albuquerque's win was Antoine Agudio and Mouhamed Sene who combined for 41 points, 15 rebounds and six assists.
Leading the 66ers to their ninth win this season was Gary Forbes with 26 points and six boards. Herbert Hill reported a double-double by tallying 18 points and 17 rebounds. Providing a spark off the bend was Derrick Dial with 16 points and nine rebounds.
The 66ers won their ninth game this season by shooting over fifty percent (51.2%) from the field while shooting 5 of 11 beyond the arc.
On March 17th the Thunderbirds, who slipped to 20-19, will host the Tulsa 66ers, 7pm at Tingley Coliseum.
