
Energy Head into Break on Four Game Win Streak with Victory over Tulsa

Des Moines, IA February 11, 2014 - The Iowa Energy defeated the Tulsa 66ers on Tuesday night at Wells Fargo Arena. Iowa has won four in a row heading into the All-Star Break.
The two teams battled back and forth in the first quarter, exchanging the lead seven times. Chris Allen had 10 of his 23 points in the quarter. The first quarter ended with the score tied at 26.
Iowa's Curtis Stinson hit a half court buzzer beater at the end of the second quarter to give the Energy a 60-55 lead heading into halftime.
The third quarter was more of the same between Tulsa and Iowa. The lead changed 4 more times in the quarter and Iowa took an 89-82 lead into the final quarter. Tulsa's Mustafa Shakur had 13 of his game high 32 points in the quarter.
The final quarter was all Energy, as they outscored Tulsa 35-22 in the fourth. Iowa's Moses Ehambe scored 12 of his 21 points in the quarter and helped give Iowa the 124-104 win over Tulsa. Iowa improves to 20-11 heading into the break, as Tulsa drops to 12-20.
Tulsa was led by Shakur's 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists. Mario Little had 23 points. Grant Jerrett added 17 points and 6 rebounds.
Othyus Jeffers led Iowa with 25 points, 9 boards, and 8 assists. Chris Allen added 23 points off the bench. Ehambe had 21 points and 7 boards. Jackie Carmichael had a double-double off the bench with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
