Newark, DE-February 11, 2014- The Delaware 87ers (9-26) faced the Erie BayHawks (10-22) in the teams fourth and final match-up of the regular season. The BayHawks defeated the Sevens 116-111.
Bo Spencer came off the bench, scoring 13 points in the second quarter, helping the Sevens cut the BayHawks early lead to 62-53 at the half. Spencer finished the game with 27 points earning him player of the game honors.
Tiny Gallon had another strong game for the Sevens, putting up 27 points and grabbing seven rebounds. A late three pointer by Matt Bouldin (18 points, five assists) brought the Sevens to within three points with less than a minute left in the fourth quarter, but the 87ers were unable to snatch the victory.
Ricky Davis led Erie in scoring and finished with 31 points and six rebounds. Lewis Jackson added a double-double with 15 points and 13 assists. All five Erie starters scored in double figures.
The Sevens will be back in action Friday, February 21, when they take on the Texas Legends. The game tips off at 7:00p.m. E.T. at the Bob Carpenter Center.
