OKC Energy FC News Release

Energy FC (11th, 7-8-9, 30 points) are back on the road after a 2-1 defeat at home against Fresno FC last Saturday. Kyle Hyland scored his second goal of the season before the visitors overturned the deficit to take all three points.

Next up is a crucial clash between two sides in the Western Conference chasing pack, as Energy FC head west to take on Portland Timbers 2 (7th, 8-7-8, 32 points). Portland jumped ahead of OKC after last weekend's 3-2 win over New Mexico United - their first win in nine matches.

The teams have met eight times with OKC winning five and Portland winning three. The most recent matchup on April 6, 2019 resulted in Timbers 2 overturning a two-goal deficit to win 3-2.

Deshorn Brown leads the way with nine goals for Energy FC, while Omar Gordon has the most assists with six. Cody Laurendi leads the league with 78 saves.

Energy FC just acquired forward Derek Gebhard from El Paso Locomotive FC in exchange for Alexy Bosetti. Gebhard is expected to be available for selection against Portland.
