ATL UTD 2 hosts Swope Park Rangers for the second meeting between the two sides this season. Both teams played to a 1-1 draw on May 19 at Children's Mercy Park as Laurence Wyke scored his second goal of the season. Atlanta is unbeaten in its last two home matches where it has scored six goals.
ATL UTD 2 fell to Louisville City 5-1 last weekend at Louisville Slugger Field. Jackson Conway scored his fourth goal of the season while Jack Metcalf registered his second assist of the year.
Swope Park Rangers lost 3-2 to Pittsburgh Riverhounds in its most recent match at Highmark Stadium on Aug. 10. After conceding an early goal by Christian Volesky, Swope Park leveled the match when Gedion Zelalem scored a penalty in the 33rd minute. However, the Riverhounds responded with a pair of goals in the first six minutes of the second half from Neco Brett and Anthony Velarde. Zé Pedro cut the deficit to one when he scored in the 67th minute, but the comeback ultimately fell short as Swope Park dropped its third consecutive match.
