HERRIMAN, Utah - Real Monarchs SLC (10-7-4, 34 points, 4 West) heads to the road to sunny California to visit Fresno FC on Friday, August 16. Kick off from Chukchansi Park is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. MT and be watched live on ESPN+.
The Monarchs jumped its competition with its thrilling 4-1 victory over Tulsa Roughnecks FC on Saturday moving into fourth in the Western Conference table. In its dominant display, Real Monarchs SLC saw FW Damian German, MFs Jack Blake and Maikel Chang, as well as DF Kalen Ryden put away goals to contribute to the win. Saturday night saw the debut of MF Cristian Calix after he subbed in late in the match to help push the Monarchs home season record to 8-2-1.
The Monarchs have an opportunity now to close the gap on the Western Conference table this Friday, when it visits third-place Fresno FC in an attempt to cut the lead. Fresno sits nine points ahead of the Monarchs after a five-game win streak starting in late June brought the California side to third in the West. Real Monarchs now head into Friday's contest hot off the heels of a two-game win stretch as it looks to continue making a statement in the Western Conference.
