
Energy Fall to Westchester Knicks

Westchester, NY - The Iowa Energy (21-18) fell 104-101 to the Westchester Knicks (10-30) Thursday night at the Westchester County Center.
The Energy were led by Chris Allen with 24 points, nine assists and seven rebounds. Willie Reed added his fifth straight double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds. The Knicks were led by Doron Lamb with a franchise record 40 points.
The Energy got off to a quick start and quickly opened up a seven-point lead over the Knicks in the first quarter. Mike McCall led the Energy with eight points. Westchester was able to chip away at the Energy's lead and briefly took the lead for the first time with 1:49 left in the first. Iowa would lead 26-24 heading into the second quarter. It was a physical second quarter between the Energy and Knicks as they exchanged the lead five times. Larry Owens stepped up for the Energy with eight points in the second quarter to lead the Energy. Lamb led the Knicks with 23 first half points as Westchester led 53-52 at halftime.
Iowa came out ready to fight back in the third quarter, outscoring the Knicks 27-21 to regain the lead. The Energy opened up a ten-point lead before the Knicks were able to cut it down to five at the end of the quarter. Iowa would hold a 79-74 lead heading into the fourth. The Energy would fall behind early in the fourth as the Knicks opened up a seven-point lead. The Energy were able to pull within two points with 1:38 left, but were unable to tie the game as Westchester won 104-101.
Iowa returns home after a four-game road trip on Friday, March 20 at 7pm against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Country Night.
