Bakersfield Jam News Release

BAKERSFIELD, CALIF., March 11, 2015 - The Bakersfield Jam (30-11) defeated the Los Angeles D-Fenders (12-29) 102-95 Wednesday night at the Dignity Health Event Center. Six Jam players scored in double-figures, led by Jerel McNeal's 26.

Bakersfield got off to a slow start to the game, falling behind 11-4 in the early going of the opening frame. A quick 6-0 run ignited the Jam to perform better on both ends of the floor and ended the first quarter down just one point (29-28). The D-Fenders won the second period 25-23 and went into the break with a 54-51 lead.

In the third, Bakersfield had a nine point deficit (64-55) at the 7:45 mark, but finished the quarter on a strong note and entered the final frame down 73-72. The final period belonged to the Jam, as they outscored the D-Fenders 30-22, thanks in part to Joe Jackson's 12-point quarter performance, and held them to just 33.3 percent shooting.

Casey Prather tallied 16 points while Jackson nearly recorded a triple-double with 16 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Mac Koshwal posted a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds. Renaldo Major (15) and Xavier Munford (10) also finished in double-figures. Alec Brown had a game-high five blocks.
