
James' 34 Points Not Enough to Hold off Vipers

Hildalgo,Tex., March 12, 2015- Despite Bighorns guard Ra'Shad James going 13-20 from the field, the Bighorns fell 138-123 to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers Thursday night in Hidalgo, TX.
James paced the Bighorns with 34 points and grabbed seven rebounds. David Stockton dished out 28 points and eight assist while Sim Bhullar tallied 15 points, seven points and three blocked shots. Austin Witter went 5-7 from the field and 3-5 from the three-points line notching 13 points.
Vipers Guard, Jarvis Threatt had 32 points in the night's contest and added 14 assists and eight rebounds. Jaron Johnson went 10-19 from the field, totaling 26 points and seven rebounds.
During the first quarter, James led the Bighorns going 4-5 from the field. James netted nine points in the quarter and added three rebounds.
Bhullar totaled seven points and two rebounds in the quarter while Cameron Ayers had six points.
Stockton had nine points in the second quarter and added two assists. Bhullar tallied eight points in the second while David Wear notched six points and two rebounds in the quarter. The Bighorns outscored the Vipers in the second quarter 38-29.
In the first half of play, the Bighorns and Vipers exchanged the lead 11 times and tied a total of four times.
The Bighorns went into the locker room at the half trailing the Vipers 67-64.
Stockton lit up the court in the third with 18 points and a steal.
James totaled nine points in the third while Bhullar had two rebounds. Stockton went 6-9 from the field.
James paced the Bighorns in the final quarter with 16 points and two rebounds while Austin Witter had six points and one assist.
