Energy Defeat Tulsa, lead NBA D-League

DES MOINES, Iowa, January 27, 2009- The Iowa Energy defeated the Tulsa 66ers 91 to 78 on Tuesday night at Wells Fargo Arena in front of 3,229 fans.

The Energy jumped out to a 24-11 lead in the first quarter and were never threatened as they coasted to their fourth straight victory.

Cartier Martin led the Energy with 31 points and 11 rebounds, while Othyus Jeffers added 14 points for the victors. With the victory, the Energy move their record to a D-League best 15-6.

Four members of the 66ers team scored in double digits including Ryan Humphrey, Gary Forbes, Keith Clark and Moses Ehambe. Ehambe led for Tulsa in scoring with 21 points, while Forbes (13 points, 11 rebounds) and Clark (14 points, 11 rebounds) posted double-doubles.

The Energy will host the Sioux Falls Skyforce for a pair of games on Thursday, January 29 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, January 31st at 7 p.m.
