Emond To Back Up For Baby Ducks Tonight

The Elmira Jackals announced today that goaltender Marco Emond has been recalled by Cincinnati of the American Hockey League for tonight's game against the Americans in Rochester.

Emond, who has a 24-10-2 record with a 2.95 GAA and .915 save percentage, will travel north to be in uniform for the game tonight. He is expected to return to the Jackals following the contest.

The assignment is Emond's second in the AHL this year. He was recalled previously by the Bridgeport SoundTigers for a game in Binghamton, playing five minutes and giving up one goal on three shots. Emond ranks among the UHL's leaders in wins (24), saves (1173), minutes played (2215), save percentage (.915), goals against average (2.95), shootout wins (6), and shootout save percentage (.730).

The Jackals will return to action on Wednesday night against the Adirondack IceHawks at 7 pm in Glens Falls. Pre-game show starts one half-hour before puck drop, and you can hear all the action on your Home For Jackals Hockey, WiNGZ 104.9!
