Johnstown Chiefs News Release
The Johnstown Chiefs (21-26-8; 50 PTS; 5th NW div.) only played two games last week as they went 1-1-0. The Chiefs fell in Reading, Friday night, and picked up an overtime win at Trenton, Saturday night. This week the Chiefs will play at Toledo on Wednesday and home Friday night versus Trenton, and Saturday night against Toledo. Saturday night's game will be the franchise's 1,000th ECHL game.
GAME #54 (2/14/03) READING 3 â Johnstown 2 Boutin Goal, Assist
The Reading Royals did all their scoring in the first period as they handed the Chiefs a 3-2 loss Friday night. Tim Branham scored his first goal in a Chiefs uniform while J.F. Boutin also tallied. Peter Aubry made 37 saves in the defeat. Both Johnstown goals came on the power play.
GAME #55 (2/15/03) Johnstown 4 â Trenton 3 (OT) Smital Two Assists
J.F. Boutin's power play goal 1:07 into overtime gave the Chiefs a much needed 4-3 overtime win at Trenton, Saturday night. Vladimir Nemec, Phil Roy (PPG), and Brent Bilodeau (SHG) all scored for the Chiefs. Peter Aubry made 31 saves for his 16th win of the season.

The Chiefs and the Toledo Storm (33-12-8; 74 PTS, 2nd NW div.) meet for the seventh time this season. The Chiefs are 2-4-0 against the Storm this year. The Chiefs are winless at the Toledo Sports Arena going 0-3-0. The Storm has out scored the Chiefs 25-16 this season. Toledo is currently is second place in the Northwest division.
Fri. Feb. 21 vs. Trenton Titans 7:30 p.m.

Friday night the Trenton Titans (27-17-8; 62 PTS, 4th NE div.) make their first visit to the War Memorial this season. The Chiefs are 2-1-0 against the Titans this season, with their most recent win last Saturday (4-3, OT). Trenton is 8-1-1 in their last ten games.
Sat. Feb. 22 vs. Toledo Storm 7:30 p.m.

Saturday night will be a historical night when the Chiefs host the Toledo Storm. The night marks the franchise's 1000th ECHL game. The Chiefs are the only original member of the ECHL that is still operating and playing in the same city, since the league 's inception in 1988. The first 2,000 people through the gate will receive a FREE commemorative coffee mug courtesy of Sheetz.

- The Chiefs enter this historic week with a 441-460-96 (997 games) record in the ECHL.
- The Chiefs have only allowed five shorthanded goals this season (T-1st).
- The Chiefs are 6-2-2 in their last ten home games.
