Spokane Indians News Release

Spokane, WA - Spokane jumped out to an early 3-0 lead over Eugene, but the Indians pitching staff faltered as the Emeralds defeated Spokane 8-4 in front of a sold-out crowd of 6,855 fans at Avista Stadium for Yoke's $1 Family Feast Night presented by Yoke's Fresh Market and 92.9 ZZU.

The Indians scored three runs in the second inning on a Eugene error and a two-run double to cen- terfield from Drew Robinson, but the lead proved to be short lived.

Reliever Arlett Mavare made his Indians debut after arriving in Spokane early in the afternoon, pitching 3.1 innings while allowing just one run and striking out two.

Edwin Garcia's RBI groundout in the fifth plated Rougned Odor, who reached on a triple to deep right-centerfield, to round out the Indians scoring.
