Offense has ruled the series with 16 combined goals in two games and an average margin of victory at five. The Jackals set a club record for goals in a playoff game (8) and goals in a period of a playoff game (6, 3rd) in last Saturday's 8-2 win at Florida. The series has also been particularly nasty with the teams combining for 106 penalty minutes through two games. During the regular season the Jackals furnished a 22-10-4 home record which was tied for the third most home wins of any team in the ECHL. During their push to clinch a playoff spot over the final two months of the season the Jackals were 9-3-2 on First Arena ice. When it comes to playoff hockey, the Jackals have turned home ice advantage into a 9-7-2 record, which included a 4-1-0 mark last year. Florida is making its first appearance in Elmira since a 5-0 win here on April 14. The Everblades' South Division foes didn't fare well here during the regular season as Elmira went 5-1-0 at home against the South Division.
