Published on July 5, 2014 under Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Salt Lake Bees News Release
The Salt Lake Bees fell to the El Paso Chihuahuas 5-1 at Smith's Ballpark in the Bees ever game against El Paso. The Bees took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning with Brennan Boesch singling with two aboard. This score would remain until the Chihuahuas put together a three-run fifth to take the lead. The visiting squad tallied two additional insurance runs in the seventh to cushion the victory.
Caleb Clay (1-1) pitched well, but was tagged with his first loss in a Bees uniform allowing three earned runs over 6.2 innings. Brennan Boesch led the Bees offense with a single, double and a RBI.
The Bees are back in action tomorrow at 6:35 p.m. at Smith's Ballpark for Daddy Daughter Date Night with fireworks to follow the game. Tickets and more information can be found at slbees.com.
