Bees Raise Money for Honor Flight

Salt Lake Bees News Release

The Salt Lake Bees celebrated Independence Day by wearing special camouflage jerseys and auctioning them to raise money for Honor Flight. The auction raised over $3600 with proceeds going to Honor Flight. The winners of the auction were taken down to the field postgame to receive their jersey. The Bees players signed the jersey and took photos with the auction winners as a thank you for their donation. The auction winners were able to stay down on the field to watch the postgame fireworks.

Honor Flight is a nationwide organization committed to flying World War II and Korean War veterans to Washington D.C. to see the monuments built for their effort. The first flight took place in May of 2005 and it has over 114 chapters across the country committed to helping veterans see the memorials. Utah's branch is focused on flying World War II veterans to our Nation's Capital.
