Sacramento River Cats News Release

West Sacramento, Calif. - Trailing by five in the sixth inning, the Sacramento River Cats (27-35) scored eight unanswered runs against the Round Rock Express (30-33) for a Saturday night win.

Eleven batters came to the plate during Sacramento's game-tying sixth inning, with Mauricio Dubón reaching base twice (single, walk). Both Arismendy Alcántara and Peter Maris drove in two runs with their hits, and Mitchell Tolman added an RBI double. Tolman finished the night going 2-for-4 with his ninth homer of the season, while Maris hit his sixth long ball in a 2-for-3 performance that also included a walk.

The River Cats and Express are back at it again tomorrow afternoon for game four of this series. Right-hander Akeel Morris is scheduled to make his Sutter Health Park debut while Round Rock will send fellow righty Drew Anderson to the mound. First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m. (PT). Watch Johnny Doskow and J.T. Snow call the game live on CW-31 or listen online at rivercats.com or on the MiLB First Pitch app.

Additional Notes

Giants right-hander Aaron Sanchez made his fifth rehab start for the River Cats, and sixth overall after he pitched in Low-A San Jose last week. The Barstow, Calif. native reached nearly 80 pitches over four and two-thirds innings on Saturday night and allowed three unearned runs.

Securing the two-inning save was flame-throwing righty Camilo Doval, whose fastball repeatedly topped 100 miles per hour on the in-house radar gun. The 24-year old peaked at 103 - the fastest pitch thrown at Sutter Health Park this season. He struck out three and allowed a hit and a walk to snag his first save of the season.
