Montgomery Biscuits News Release
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Shane Dyer dominated as the offense busted out of its clutch-hitting woes, and the Biscuits (15-18) clinched at least a .500 roadtrip with a 6-1 win over the Chattanooga Lookouts (14-19) Tuesday at AT&T Field.
Dyer (4-2) gave up just one unearned run over six innings, the second-straight start he's tossed six innings without allowing an earned run. Frank De Los Santos and Alex Koronis combined for three shutout relief innings to finish the night.
Henry Wrigley had a pair of RBI-singles and Emeel Salem and Mark Thomas both produced run-scoring triples in a game the Biscuits never trailed in. After managing six hits with runners in scoring position over their previous 46 at-bats, the Biscuits put up a respectable 4-11 effort in those situations Tuesday night.
Lookouts starter Nathan Eovaldi was tagged with the loss, giving up four runs on seven hits over five innings.
The Biscuits will look to clinch a series win Wednesday morning at 10:15 CT as LHP Kyle Lobstein takes the mound against RHP Allen Webster.
