San Francisco Bulls News Release
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls Professional Hockey Team, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced today that Eco-Friendly Weekend will be on Friday, March 8 and Saturday, March 9, when the Bulls host the Alaska Aces, presented by BART.
On Friday, March 8, the first 1,000 fans, 13 and over, receive a reusable grocery bag. The following night on Saturday, the first 500 fans, 13 and over, receive an SF Bulls travel cup. Both games begin at 7:15 pm, doors open at 6 pm.
Fans are encouraged to help save energy by traveling to the game by public transportation. At the Balboa Park BART station you can find free shuttles, courtesy of the SF Bulls and Universal Limousine and Transportation, that will drop you off at the Cow Palace and return you to the station following the game. The shuttles begin running an hour and half before the drop of the puck.
SportsBasement will be collecting used tennis shoes and batteries at the game. Fans that participate will receive a 10% coupon to their store and $2 off tickets to the Saturday, March 16 SF Bulls game against the Idaho Steelheads. A raffle will also take place for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to SportsBasement. Save some "green" by going "green."
In addition, "green" businesses have the opportunity to promote their company at the March 8 or 9 game. Simply bring a group of 30 people to one of the games and get a table to set up in the concourse to promote your company/initiative. To sign up for a group and table, call up the Bulls office at 855-SF-BULLS.
