* Nailers went 2-1-0 and averaged 4.3 goals per game against the Checkers in 2005-06.
* Charlotte is 2-0 and has outscored its opponents 12-6 in its last two home openers.
* Wheeling has opened on the road each of the last two years, going 0-2-0.
* Checkers were 24-4-3 when leading after the second period in 2005-06.

Pensacola Ice Pilots (0-0-0) at Cincinnati Cyclones (0-0-0) 7:30 p.m. ET
* Cyclones return to the ice for first time since Apr. 3, 2004.
* First-ever meeting between the two teams.
* Chuck Weber makes head-coaching debut for Cincinnati after being an assistant coach for Utah in 2005-06.
* George Dupont begins his first full season as head coach of the Pensacola Ice Pilots.

Texas Wildcatters (0-0-0) at Florida Everblades (0-0-0) 7:30 p.m. ET
* Wildcatters back on the ice for the first time since Apr. 9, 2005.
* Everblades are 2-0 and outscored Texas 10-1 in the last two meetings.
* Malcolm Cameron is in first season with Texas after coaching Long Beach the last two years.
* Florida was second in ECHL in attendance in 2005-06 with 224,628 and 6,239 per game.

Reading Royals (0-0-0) at Trenton Titans (0-0-0) 7:30 p.m. ET
* Third time in the last four years that teams have faced each other in season opener.
* Trenton is 2-0 in its last two home openers, including a 3-1 win against Reading in 2004-05.
* Royals went 8-4-0 and 2-4-0 on the road against the Titans in 2005-06.
* Titans had the league's third best power play (21.2 percent) and penalty kill (85.4 percent) in 2005-06.

Dayton Bombers (0-0-0) at Toledo Storm (0-0-0) 7:35 p.m. ET
* 152nd regular season meeting between the Dayton Bombers (70-65-16) and Toledo Storm (81-54-16).
* Toledo has won its last three season openers, including a 6-5 win against the Bombers a year ago.
* Bombers beginning their 16th season as member of ECHL.
* Storm was 8-4-1 overall and 4-1-1 at home against Dayton in 2005-06.

Columbia Inferno (0-0-0) at Augusta Lynx (0-0-0) 7:35 p.m. ET
* Inferno has won last three road season openers, including 5-4 in shootout at South Carolina a year ago.
* Augusta is 3-0 and averaging 5.3 goals per game in its last three home games against Columbia.
* Troy Mann makes his professional head coaching debut with the Columbia Inferno.
* Augusta was second in the league in 2005-06 with 17 shorthand goals.

South Carolina Stingrays (0-0-0) at Gwinnett Gladiators (0-0-0) 7:45 p.m. ET
* Gwinnett swept the Stingrays in three games in South Division Semifinals in 2006 Kelly Cup Playoffs.
* South Carolina opens on road for fourth year in a row, going 2-1-0 in season openers the last three years.
* American Conference champion Gladiators had second-best home record (29-4-3) in the league in 2005-06.
* Stingrays were 0-7 in overtime games and 0-8 in shootouts in 2005-06.

Stockton Thunder (0-0-0) at Bakersfield Condors (0-0-0) 7:00 p.m. PT
* Condors have won their last two season openers to improve to 2-1-0.
* Thunder had sixth-best road power play in 2005-06 with 19.4 percent (46-for-237).
* Bakersfield won the last two meetings and was 7-1-0 against Thunder in 2005-06.
* Thunder tied for third in the league in 2005-06 with 37 one-goal games (10-13-14).

Utah Grizzlies (0-0-0) at Phoenix RoadRunners (0-0-0) 7:11 p.m. PT
* Teams meet in season opener for second straight year with Phoenix winning 4-2 on the road last season.
* Grizzlies were 3-1-0 and averaged 4.5 goals per game on the road against the RoadRunners in 2005-06.
* RoadRunners were 10-23-3 at home in 2005-06.
* Utah went 13-for-36 (28.3 percent) on the power play against the RoadRunners in 2005-06.

Las Vegas Wranglers (0-0-0) at Fresno Falcons (0-0-0) 7:30 p.m. PT
* Las Vegas is 3-0 on opening night, including 5-1 win against Fresno in 2004-05.
* Fresno lost 3-2 in double overtime in Game 7 to champion Alaska in the National Conference Finals.
* Wranglers were perfect 6-0-0 against Falcons in 2005-06, improving to 15-7-4 all-time against Fresno.
* Falcons were unbeaten in regulation (22-0-7) against teams in their division in 2005-06.

Idaho Steelheads (0-0-0) at Long Beach Ice Dogs (0-0-0) 7:30 p.m. PT
* Steelheads have won their last two season openers, including 4-3 win against Long Beach in 2005-06.
* In only season opener at home, Ice Dogs beat San Diego 2-0 on Oct. 22, 2004.
* Idaho's power play (21.8 percent) and road power play (23.3 percent) were second in the league in 2005-06.
* Long Beach's last nine home wins have been by one goal, including 2-0 in overtime and 2-0 in the shootout.

Victoria Salmon Kings (0-0-0) at Alaska Aces (0-0-0) 7:15 p.m. AT
* Alaska Aces will raise 2006 Kelly Cup Championship banner.
* Victoria is 0-2-0 in season openers and opens on the road for its third consecutive season.
* Aces have won their last two home openers to improve to 2-1-0.
* Salmon Kings are 2-1-0 in their last three games at Alaska.
