The San Jose Earthquakes will try to extend their home-unbeaten streak to eight games when they host D.C United on Saturday, July 30 at Buck Shaw Stadium. The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, 1220 KDOW and 1370 KZSF. Along with the match, 5,000 fans will receive a cheer card presented by Verizon.

Last Game

Earthquakes 0, Real Salt Lake 4; July 23, 2011; Rio Tinto Stadium; Sandy, Utah

San Jose lost for only the second time on the road against Real Salt Lake, falling 4-0 at Rio Tinto Stadium. The Earthquakes held the Supporters Shield contenders to a 0-0 draw through 60 minutes before a controversial red card on San Jose defender Bobby Burling resulted in a penalty kick for the home side. After Alvaro Saborio converted the spot kick, Real Salt Lake went on the score three more times to hand the Earthquakes their first loss since July 6 at Chivas USA.

Last Game vs. D.C. United

Earthquakes 4, D.C. United 2; June 11, 2011; RFK Stadium; Washington, D.C.

Steven Lenhart scored his first career hat trick to lead the Earthquakes past D.C. United 4-2 at RFK Stadium. The Quakes forward tallied twice in the first half, assisted Simon Dawkins for San Jose's third goal and capped the scoring with an insurance goal midway through the second half. Lenhart's first goal knotted the game up at 1-1 just two minutes after Andy Najar scored for D.C. United. Khari Stephenson sprung Lenhart with a through ball into the area and San Jose's striker dribbled goalkeeper Bill Hamid before calmly finishing into an open net. The brace came in the 22nd minute as Lenhart hustled to one-touch a loose ball into the goal after Hamid couldn't control a blast from Stephenson. In the 49th minute, Lenhart played Dawkins on a give-and-go inside the area to set the British export up for strike from close range to give the Quakes a 3-2 lead. Finally, Lenhart completed his hat trick in the 60th minute after winning a header near the edge of the 18-yard box, nodding the ball over a charging Hamid to close an emphatic 4-2 win. Lenhart's hat trick was the fifth in club history. Landon Donovan (Sept. 20, 2003 vs. KC), Dwayne De Rosario (Sept. 27, 2003 vs. DAL) and Chris Wondolowski (Sept. 25, 2010 vs. TFC and Oct. 20 vs. CHV) account for the other four.

Earthquakes to Host 2011 Corporate Cup

The 2011 Corporate Cup hosted by the San Jose Earthquakes will kick off on Saturday, July 30 at 8:30 a.m. PT at the Nutrilite Training Facility. The 5v5 event will feature three divisions: Corporate Men's, Co-Ed and Men's Open. The teams competing include: Visa, Zynga, Sony PlayStation, Maxim Intergrated Products, NetApp, Solar Junction, Degenkolb Engineers, Playdom, PRTM, McKinsey & Co., Vocera, TeleNav, Cosmo Catering, Futsal Kingz, UK International, UVMG, Menlo Park AYSO, defending Open Division champions the Almaden Brit, Fighttheflop.com, the Cupertino Brit and Gordon Biersch. Each team is guaranteed three games during group play before the knockout phase begins. A full preview of the event will be available on www.sjearthquakes.com on Tuesday, July 26.

Earthquakes Host Military Night vs. D.C. United on Saturday, July 30

The San Jose Earthquakes will honor the U.S. Armed Forces along with BAE Systems and Operation Care and Comfort on Saturday prior to kickoff against D.C. United. Active service members and veterans from all five branches of the military will be in attendance. Among the bases who will be represented are: Camp Parks, Fort Hunter Liggett and the Alameda Coast Guard Base. Participating military members will receive a commemorative scarf. In addition, Earthquakes partner BAE Systems will have an MRAP vehicle on site for fans to check out before kickoff. Operation Care and Comfort will also set up donation stations at Gates A and B.

Earthquakes to Host Xfinity Youth Soccer Clinic Event in Union City on Wednesday

The San Jose Earthquakes will host their fourth Xfinity Youth Soccer Clinic event of the summer on Wednesday at Shorty Garcia Park in Union City from 6 to 8 p.m. PT. Space is still available for kids to register. Participation is free with each child receiving a soccer ball, a ticket to an Earthquakes home game and the opportunity to interact with players from San Jose. Convey, Wondolowski in New York for AT&T MLS All-Star Game

San Jose Earthquakes stars Chris Wondolowski and Bobby Convey are in New York for the 2011 AT&T MLS All-Star Game. The duo will suit up for MLS on Wednesday, July 27 at Red Bull Arena against Manchester United. The match kicks off at 5:30 p.m. PT on ESPN2, Galavision and TSN. Convey was named to his second consecutive MLS All-Star team while Wondolowski was tabbed for the first time.

Earthquakes to Host AT&T MLS All-Star Game Viewing Party at Norm's Place in Danville

The San Jose Earthquakes will host a viewing part for the 2011 AT&T MLS All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 27 at Norm's Place in Danville, Calif. Danville is the hometown of San Jose's leading goal scorer and All-Star participant Chris Wondolowski. The match kicks off at 5:30 p.m. PT on ESPN2, Galavision and TSN. The Shakers Squad will be on hand to distribute free swag while also raffling off a Chris Wondolowski replica jersey t-shirt.

San Jose Offers Fans the Chance to Be Krazy George for a Day

San Jose Earthquakes fans that think they have what it takes to be Krazy George will get their chance. Last week the club announced the launch of its Krazy George Contest, a three-tiered competition that will result in one person winning the opportunity to perform alongside the iconic entertainer when San Jose hosts Sporting Kansas City on Oct. 1. Sign ups are now open for the first phase of the contest. Fans can nominate themselves at www.sjearthquakes.com/krazygeorge. A pool of as many as 10 semifinalists will then be selected to perform a routine before a panel of three judges - Earthquakes head coach Frank Yallop, club ambassador Kelly Gray and the original Krazy George - on Friday, Aug. 5. From that group of 10, five finalists will be selected based on the creativity of their presentation, engagement of the judges and team pride. In order to decide a winner, fans will vote amongst the finalists' performances using an online poll at www.sjearthquakes.com. The Earthquakes will post a video of each finalist's performance in addition to the judge's comments on the club's official YouTube channel that will be available on the polling page for fans to watch and determine which contestant deserves to be the next Krazy George.

Odwalla Bottle $5 Ticket Discount

The San Jose Earthquakes and Odwalla are teaming up to help fans save. This weekend and on Aug. 13, fans can redeem any Odwalla bottle at the Earthquakes Box Office on game day in exchange for a $5 discount on a match ticket.

Unbeaten in Last Seven at Home

The Earthquakes are unbeaten in their last seven MLS regular season games at home. The club is 3-0-4 and has outscored opponents 11-5 during the streak. San Jose's last loss at home was a 2-1 result against Chivas USA on April 23.

Reserve League Continues

The Earthquakes will continue Reserve League play at Chivas USA on Tuesday, July 26. San Jose's reserve squad is 3-2-0 through the first half of its season.

Attakora Debuts for San Jose

Midfielder Nana Attakora made his debut for the Earthquakes on Saturday against Real Salt Lake. The fifth-year player started and played 54 minutes in his first appearance. He was traded to San Jose along with Jacob Peterson and Alan Gordon from Toronto FC in exchange for Ryan Johnson, allocation money and an international player slot.

Rafael Baca Makes First MLS Start

Rookie midfielder Rafael Baca made his first MLS start for the Quakes against Real Salt Lake on July 23 at Rio Tinto Stadium. The former LMU star saw 90 minutes as a left midfielder in a 4-0 loss. He has played in four games this season for San Jose.

Earthquakes Recall Morrow From Loan

Second-year defender Justin Morrow returned from a brief loan stint with FC Tampa Bay on Monday. He will make the trip to Los Angeles with San Jose's reserve squad to take on Chivas USA. Morrow appeared in three matches during his time with FC Tampa Bay, a 1-0 win against English Premier League side Bolton, a 2-1 win against FC Edmonton and a 2-1 loss against the Atlanta Silverbacks.

Luzunaris Sees Time for Orlando City

Matt Luzunaris started and played 79 minutes for Orlando City in a 1-0 win against English Premier League side Newcastle United. San Jose's striker went on loan with the USL Pro Division squad prior to their July 16 match against Rochester. He has scored two goals in two weeks, one against Rochester and another against Bolton.

Marathon July Comes to an End

Saturday's match against D.C. United will be the Earthquakes' eighth and final match of the month. During July the Quakes are 0-2-4 in MLS regular season matches and 1-2-4 overall, including a 2-1 win against English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion.

Wondolowski Passes De Rosario for No. 3 on Quakes All-Time Scoring Chart

San Jose Earthquakes forward Chris Wondolowski continues to inch up the franchise's all-time scoring charts. Wondo added to his total with two goals against Vancouver Whitecaps FC in a 2-2 draw on July 20 at Buck Shaw Stadium, giving him a total of 29 with the Quakes. The Danville, Calif. native has now passed Dwayne De Rosario, who scored 27 for the team from 2001-2005, for No. 3 on the all-time list. The career leader for the Quakes is Ronald Cerritos, who notched 61 from 1997-2001 and in 2005. Next on the list is Landon Donovan, who scored 32 goals in his Earthquakes career.

Boot it Like Bingham Goes Viral

Earthquakes goalkeeper David Bingham's goal has been viewed over 2.1 million times since he scored a 90-yard goal in a 2-1 win against English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion two weeks ago at Buck Shaw Stadium. Bingham launched the ball from the edge of his own box and found the net on one hop. The video can be found in the Earthquakes' YouTube channel.

Earthquakes 4v4, Presented by Wells Fargo

The San Jose Earthquakes kicked off their first 4v4 Tournament presented by Wells Fargo on Saturday, July 23. The Earthquakes 4v4 Presented by Wells Fargo includes two additional dates this summer. The next tournament will be on Aug. 28 at Cesar Chavez Academy in East Palo Alto, followed by the final event of 2011 on Sept. 18 at Alden Oliver Sports Park in Hayward. Divisions include boys and girls U-8 through U-19, Men's and Women's Rec, Adult CoEd and Men's Open. Prizes will be awarded to the first and second place teams in all divisions. All participants receive an Earthquakes ticket, event t-shirt, and other gifts. There will also be appearances by Earthquakes players. Participation fees are $120 for Youth and Adult Rec, and $150 for Men's Open. Registration is open at www.sjearthquakes.com/4v4.

Busch the Shot Stopper

Twenty-one games into the season, Earthquakes goalkeeper Jon Busch is second in the league in saves with 80. Toronto FC's Stefan Frei leads the pack with 85 saves in 23 matches. New England's Matt Reis trails Busch by two saves with 78 in 18 matches.

Busch Among MLS Career Leaders for Shutouts

Jon Busch picked up his 59th career clean sheet on July 16 in a 0-0 draw against the Columbus Crew at Columbus Crew Stadium. The Earthquakes' starting goalkeeper is eighth among MLS all-time leaders. He has recorded 13 shutouts in two seasons with San Jose, 21 during three seasons (2007-09) with the Chicago Fire and 25 in five seasons (2002-06) with the Columbus Crew. Next on the list is former MLS standout Tony Meola with 62.

Wells Fargo Soccer Mom of the Match

Wells Fargo will feature a Soccer Mom of the Match for each Earthquakes home game in 2011. The promotion kicked off on Saturday, June 25 with Tina Castaneda of San Jose taking home the award. One nominated mom will be selected for on-field and video-board recognition prior to kickoff each week. The winner will also receive four match tickets to an Earthquakes home game, a parking pass, and a jersey. They will also have the special privilege to watch pre-game warm ups from the field.
