SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that the club has transferred defender Francisco Calvo to Turkish Süper Lig side Konyaspor for an undisclosed fee.
"After speaking with Francisco and learning of his aspirations as a person and as a player, this opportunity makes sense for both sides," said Earthquakes General Manager Chris Leitch. "We appreciate his efforts this year and wish him well in Turkey."
Calvo, 29, joined the Earthquakes ahead of the 2022 season following five years in Major League Soccer with Minnesota United FC and Chicago Fire FC. He made 13 appearances for San Jose, scoring two goals and tallying one assist.
