San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that Avaya Stadium will host viewing parties for all 52 matches of the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup this summer, giving fans an opportunity to watch the entire tournament on the stadium's large video board
The viewing parties will include free entry and parking every day. Similar viewing parties were held last year during the 2018 FIFA Men's World Cup, with 50,000 fans coming to Avaya Stadium over the course of the tournament.
Held every four years, the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup will be the eighth edition dating back to its inaugural competition in 1991. The United States Women's National Team has finished no worse than third place at every tournament, including championships in 1991, 1999 and 2015.
On certain days with high-profile matches extra in-stadium activations will be present inside the stadium. Food trucks, inflatables, FIFA stations and more will be available for fans to enjoy during and in-between the matches.
Fans are also encouraged to dress up in support of their favorite team or player, with the best-dressed guest winning a prize every day of the competition.
