San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes (2-2-1) host Houston Dynamo FC (2-2-0) tonight at PayPal Park in San Jose. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. PT and will be streamed globally on Apple TV's MLS Season Pass, as well as on local radio via 810 AM The Spread (English) and 1370 KZSF (Spanish).
The Earthquakes are looking to extend their home unbeaten streak to start the 2023 season after earning victories over Western Conference rivals Vancouver Whitecaps FC and the Colorado Rapids and playing to a scoreless draw against Toronto FC last Saturday. With a win, San Jose would earn 10+ points from their first four home matches of a season for just the third time in club history (2002 - 12, 2016 - 10).
The Quakes are headlined by forward Cristian Espinoza, who currently leads MLS in both key passes and chances created. San Jose will also look to maintain their strong run of form defensively at PayPal Park, where they have not conceded a goal in the last 253 minutes of action.
After consecutive road losses to begin the season, Houston has earned back-to-back shutout victories at home. French forward Amine Bassi scored a penalty kick in each of his two starts this season, while Mexican Designated Player Hector Herrera has tallied one goal and one assist.
