Jeremy Ebobisse of the San Jose Earthquakes celebrates his goal against Vancouver last weekend
(San Jose Earthquakes)
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes (1-1-0) will host the Colorado Rapids (0-1-1) tonight at PayPal Park, presented by Managed Facility Solutions. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. PT and will be streamed globally on Apple TV's MLS Season Pass, as well as on local radio via 810 AM The Spread (English) and 1370 KZSF (Spanish).
The Earthquakes are looking for back-to-back wins after defeating Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2-1 in their home opener last Saturday. San Jose is led by forward Jeremy Ebobisse, who is one of just three players in MLS with 2+ goals and 1+ assist so far this season. Forward Cristian Espinoza, with an assist in each of the team's first two matches, has tallied 46 assists since joining San Jose ahead of the 2019 season, second most in MLS during that span (Carles Gil - 49).
The Colorado Rapids come to San Jose in search of their first goal and first win of 2023 following a 4-0 road defeat to Seattle (Feb. 26) and a scoreless draw against Sporting Kansas City (March 4). Goalkeeper William Yarbrough made 11 saves in last Saturday's draw and was named to Major League Soccer's Team of the Matchday for Matchday 2.
