San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes (5-7-6; 21 pts.) face Vancouver Whitecaps FC (3-7-7; 16 pts.) at PayPal Park tonight at 7:30 p.m. PT, presented by CEFCU. The match will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Bay Area, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.
San Jose extended their unbeaten streak to a league-best seven after defeating LAFC 2-1 at PayPal Park on Sunday. The Quakes hold an 8-9-9 all-time record against Vancouver, including a 5-1-6 record at home. San Jose has won four of the last five meetings in the series, outscoring their Western Conference foe 14-7 in that span.
Vancouver is in 13th place in the Western Conference with just one win in their last 13 matches (1-6-6). Whitecaps FC, which has played all its home matches to date in Utah due to travel restrictions between the U.S. and Canada, is coming off four consecutive draws.
Friday will be the Quakes' first Dollar Dog Night of 2021, with all fans in attendance being treated to $1 hot dogs while supplies last.
